what is an RBT

What is an RBT and Why Are They Important?

An RBT is a Registered Behavior Technician. They are certified professionals who work with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. RBTs use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help their clients improve their social skills, communication, and daily living skills. RBTs are essential because they provide a much-needed service to a population that often has difficulty accessing traditional forms of therapy.
