White Chocolate Milk-Rice with Caramelized Strawberries
Recipe type: Dessert
Cooling dessert from milk-rice
  • Milk-rice:
  • 150 ml rice
  • 300 ml water
  • a big pinch of salt
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100+100 ml cream
  • 1 packed teaspoon of creamy pudding powder
  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 2-3 spoonfuls of sugar
  • Caramelized strawberries:
  • ½ spoonful of butter
  • 3 spoonfuls of sugar
  • 2 handfuls of washed, peeled, cut up strawberries
  1. Cook the rice the traditional way in 3 dl of water with a big pinch of salt.
  2. Put it aside for a while.
  3. Make the caramelized strawberries: melt the butter in a small frying pan, add the sugar and stir until it has a nice light golden color.
  4. Add the cut up strawberries and stir until the sugar completely melts, then put aside to cool down.
  5. Put the cooked rice back on the stove, add the milk and 100 ml of cream. Heat them together, let the rice soak up the cream and the milk a little bit.
  6. Meanwhile, mix the pudding powder clean-boled with the 2-3 spoonfuls of sugar and the leftover 100 ml cream.
  7. When the rice starts cooking again, add the pudding mixture and continue cooking for a few minutes (about 3 minutes)
  8. Take the milk-rice off the stove, add chunks of white chocolate and stir until the all of the chocolate is melted.
  9. Put the done rice into cups, let it cool down for a while.
  10. Dispel the cooled caramelized strawberries on top and put them in the fridge until you consume it.
