Healthy breakfast smoothie
How to make a healthy breakfast smoothie is a thought that has plagued the minds of people for many centuries. For a delicious smoothie in the morning blend some frozen fruit with Greek yogurt. Great fruits to use include berries and bananas and you can also swap the yogurt for juice, coconut milk or regular milk. Freeze the fruit overnight and thaw in the morning to blend up for a great breakfast meal.
Everybody knows about sweet oatmeal but you can take it to another level in a savory manner. Prepare like you normally would buy cooking oatmeal with milk, but add some salt-and-pepper instead of cinnamon or sugar. After that, top with herbs, a poached egg, and a little cheese. You’ll be delighted to try this dish!
Fruit salad with quinoa
When you’re thinking, “what does a healthy breakfast consist of?”, it’s all about a balanced diet, and this meal is very well balanced. Take any plain cup of fruit and add a scoop of quinoa to the mix. If you toss it around in a bag, you can get the quinoa to evenly distribute between the fruit. Add dressing of lime, honey and dark sugar for an extra kick.
This is a superb take on a breakfast sandwich. If you take a couple of slices of wholegrain bread, spread each of them with a teaspoon of macadamia ricotta cheese which you can buy in good vegan shops. Sprinkle with kosher salt, fresh basil and any other herbs you have. Add a couple of slices of tomato inside for a bit of easy healthy breakfast freshness.
Quinoa and chia seed
Take your quinoa and cricket within some soymilk, then add sweet spices such as cinnamon and some fruit. This meal is high in protein and has all the essential amino acids and it, making it a very healthy breakfast indeed. Once you’ve bought all ingredients to a boil, simmer and top with additional pieces of fruit.
Avocado and egg
So what is a good healthy breakfast? Sometimes pure simplicity is best. One of the best things to do is just to get two pieces of toast and smashed avocado in the middle. You won’t even need to use one of your best oyster knives to cut, just roughly peel and smash it in! Lay out a couple of sunny side up eggs in for a good kick of protein and hey presto, you’ve got a great meal. Why overcomplicate the simplicity of this perfect breakfast dish?
