Simple paper boat – back to the past!

What to do on a hot summer day? Let’s make paper boat and float it!

How to do it? It’s very simple and easy. Let’s see it in pics!

While we were making dozens of paper boats to get enough to sink in the bath-tub my childhood came to my mind. I had lived in countryside – in a house with a big garden – with my parents and grandparents. I am an only child, I didn’t have fellowship so I had spent a lot of time with my grandma, we’ve played a lot together. I’ve kept a couple of my toys as souvenirs.

I’ve recently felt like showing them to my children living in the lure of high-tech… for the hell of it. It was funny to see that they looked at a couple of them as they were made on another planet but there were some they kept and haven’t given back to me.

Do you remember these toys of the seventies-eighties?

  1. I love this! I made little sail boats out of wine bottle corks, toothpicks, and paper once…my daughter played with them for hours. It’s really nice to get back to the basics and get off technology sometimes:-) Thanks for sharing, Barbara…I do remember some of those toys from back when;-)
